Position: Physical Design Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle management of digital backend design projects under advanced process nodes.
- Develop end-to-end project plans from RTL handoff to GDSII sign-off, identify critical paths, and establish risk mitigation mechanisms.
- Lead cross-regional teams in delivering customer projects.
- Assist in optimizing backend design processes and methodologies. Stay updated with the latest backend design technologies and tools, drive innovation and optimization in backend design processes, and provide technical guidance in areas such as floorplanning, placement, routing, CTS, STA, DRC, LVS, etc.
- Participate in evaluating and optimizing chip area, performance, power consumption, and other parameters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics or a related field, with over 10 years of experience in digital backend design. Experience in a design services company is preferred.
- Proficient in digital backend design processes, familiar with integrated circuit manufacturing processes and design rules. Experience with SMIC/TSMC advanced process technologies is required.
- Master the full backend design flow from netlist to GDS, with extensive hands-on experience in tools for synthesis, CTS, PR, STA, PV, etc.
- Familiar with scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, Shell, Python, etc., with experience in developing backend scripts.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit, with experience in client management.
